“In this presentation, Emily blends her love of dance and her choreographic experience with a Vinyasa Yoga class, moving from one asana to the next in challenging and energizing flows. Each participant looks for their own rhythm, and begins to cultivate a deeper understanding of how energy moves through and around the body.
The class encourages the continuous, conscious movement of each individual and the group as a whole; the inner experience affects and moves the collective. We will explore how the breath can guide and amplify each movement, cultivating a state of presence that connects body, mind, and spirit. By focusing on step-by-step sequencing of Vinyasas, as well as delving into the transitions moving into and out of each Asana, we will deepen the awareness of our bodies and our breath, and discover our own continuous flow.
The workshop ends with finding the flow in stillness and encourages the participants to become the Asana they embody. Discovering the inner flow of the cactus, the humble warrior, or the radiant goddess, the class brings the attention inward to sense the continuity of breath and Prana.
Whether you’re an experienced yogi or new to Vinyasa, this workshop offers a space to explore conscious continuity by integrating breath, movement, and energy. Come ready to find and practice your own energetic and unhindered flow.
